It is the most important source of Omega 3 today, both in quantity -more than 67%- and in quality -since, unlike other sources, it also provides antioxidants that ensure durability.

Its fibers are considered high quality for their excellent biological value. The seed was rediscovered 10 years ago by the University of Arizona, seeking alternative sources of Omega 3, and thanks to some isolated people who used it and did not show any sign of the conditions associated with the lack of this fatty acid.
